Underwater Inspection of Sheet Piles – Hutchison Ajman International Terminal
The sheet pile quay wall involved in this scope was approximately 5500 m long with approximate seabed level varies from -5.0 to -8.5 m Admiralty Chart Datum (ACD). Works included a Visual Inspection, recording by video and photography of any defects, Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge (UTG} testing of cleaned steel in the low water zone and at the seabed (approximately 50 mm below existing bed) in areas suspect of accelerated low water corrosion/microbial induced corrosion and seabed survey.
